The Hostel Elisson is situated in Kryoneri Korinthias, a mountainous village (740m altitude) surrounded by vineyards, 150 km from Athens Airport.
From Kryoneri it takes only 15 km to the next beach of the famous Gulf of Corinth. Kryoneri is the ideal place to go hiking in the beautiful mountains or to go for a swim in the Gulf of Corinth. Also it is a perfect starting point for further travels to Corinth, Athens, Olympia, Delphi or the world-famous antique theatre of Epidaurus.
No matter if you are visiting Greece for a short trip or a longer vacation, the Hostel Elisson is the ideal solution. Here our guests can lie back and relax or enjoy days filled with various activities. The hostel offers hospitality to individual visitors, families, but also to groups. It can host meetings and campaigns organized by young people or students teams, naturalists, hiking and biking associations. They can enjoy their stay in a beautiful and relaxing environment, for training, recreation and cultural purposes. Also the building is planned in a way that helps to welcome elderly or disabled persons, thanks to slip roads and special bathrooms.
The hostel Elisson is an agro-tourism enterprise of people living in the mountainous village of Kryoneri Korinthias. It is the fulfillment of a dream that became reality in 2006 with the support of European agro-tourism Initiative LEADER+ and the Development Company of Northern Peloponnese. It is created with love and faith in the Greek rural development, and meets the need of public accommodation in the rural area of the Corinthian upland region. The hostel was built above the valley of the river Elisson, offering a large view over it. The architecture of the building - stone, timber, tile - is in complete harmony with the old traditional architecture of Kryoneri and with the natural landscape that surrounds it.
The hostel consists of three buildings with a total of 10 rooms. The main building offers two double-bed bedrooms (one of which is wheelchair-accessible), three 4-bed-lofts in the upper floor and a 6-beds-dormitory. All rooms are en-suite and have their own balcony (except the 6-bed-dormitory). Furthermore the house has a big shared living-room with a fireplace and open kitchen for self-catering, a small library on the first floor, a seminar room with full equipment and table games as well as a nice green courtyard of 7 acres, with trees, grass, flowers, an organic vegetables garden and ample parking. Our guests are either self-catering, using the hostel’s two communal kitchens, or they can have breakfast and lunch at the restaurant. The other buildings are: the Old Farmhouse "Agroikia", whose restaurant works also with the traditional wood ovens and the "Hen Coop".
